Monica Au is the
managing director of the Hong Kong office of Landor Associates. She
is responsible for the operational management of the office and
Landor's business development in south China, Taiwan, and Southeast
Asia. She also oversees the growth of key client relationships.
Monica became client managing director
and general manager of the Hong Kong office of Landor in 2001,
responsible for building key client relationships and overseeing
the day-to-day office operations. Her branding and design
expertise, coupled with her relationship style, has resulted in
numerous successful partnerships with such clients as Danone,
Philip Morris, and Procter & Gamble.
Monica began her career with Landor in
1989 as design director, working on a wide range of branding
projects including EVA Air, Kodak, Palmolive, Philip Morris,
President Enterprises, San Miguel Corporation, SilkAir, Singapore
Post, and Singapore Telecom.
After leaving Landor in 1994 to become
creative director for Tong, McKnew & Nachtigall, she worked
with companies including Amoy, Kraft, Nestlé Dairy Farm, Philip
Morris, and Standard Foods.
In 1997, she rejoined Landor as
creative director, with over a decade of branding expertise in a
wide range of industries. She directed major Asia Pacific projects,
such as Brand Hong Kong, CITIC Ka Wah Bank, Digital China, First
Choice, Kelon, Midea, New World, and Tetra Pak.
Monica received an honors degree in
graphic design from the Central School of Art in London. She has
also worked in England and Canada and is fluent in English,
Cantonese, and Mandarin.
